Underground insulation and special products

Paints and coatings shape the appearance of interior spaces and façades. Selecting a suitable product involves considering the substrate, the intended use and the desired finish.

For interior applications, relevant properties include hiding power, wet-scrub resistance and documented emissions performance. These properties vary by product and should be assessed using the relevant technical information. Indoor air quality also depends on other building materials, furnishings, ventilation and room use.

On façades, colour and surface texture complement the building’s architecture. Exterior coatings also contribute to weather protection as part of a compatible render and coating system. Properties such as water absorption, water vapour permeability and colour retention depend on the selected product and exposure conditions.
